Fashion Boot Camp is a week long camp specially designed for students in grades 9-12 who are interested in learning about the fashion industry before deciding to attend fashion school. Students will create projects similar to the projects created in fashion school.
You will gain insight into the fashion industry by learning about the different opportunities within design, merchandising, sketching, trend forecasting, styling, fashion show production, and special niche markets (costume design, eco fashion, pet apparel, and more).
Special industry guest speakers will also be on hand to share their area of expertise.
You will have daily projects which will be assembled for a special portfolio to be reviewed at the end of the week by industry expert, Frances Harder, founder of the non-profit Fashion Business, Inc. and author of Fashion for Profit, the industry’s “go-to” manual that covers various areas of the fashion business industry that goes beyond just design.
The FBI Fashion Boot Camp will be available for two weeks this summer.
