| The Right Mood for Sweet Success |
FBI member Daniel Sadigh first discovered his talents for fashion during his college years while working for a retail store in New York. Realizing that there will always be a need for an occasion dress at some point in women’s lives, Daniel honed his skills and is now the owner of Sugar Moods, a manufacturer of formal dresses. “Dresses are an integral part of the market, and they never go out of style.” The name Sugar Moods is actually a combination of the name of a retail store Daniel owned in New York, ‘Mood’, and the name of his first label called ‘Sugar’. Daniel’s sincerity and his willingness to take risks are two important traits that have helped him take Sugar Moods to where it is today.
Daniel recognizes that Southern California has developed its own niche regarding its sense of style. The world is in tune with what it means to dress “Californian” just as it recognizes what European or Asian styling is. “California is very unique as far as fashion is concerned.” This is the main reason for the establishment of Sugar Moods in Los Angeles, instead of New York for instance. Daniel also feels that Los Angeles “is more production friendly.” By Donna Sandez,Stephanie Petitt, and Thanuja Hasseem First Published 8/3/2004 |
